MEET THE TRAINER
Skye Kimberly
Hello, fellow dog lovers!
I'm Skye, and I'm thrilled to be your guide on this rewarding journey of dog training and companionship. With a passion for canines that began in my early years, I embarked on a path that led me to pursue a diploma in veterinary medicine and canine behavior. This comprehensive education deepened my understanding of our furry friends' health and behavior and ignited my desire to advocate for their well-being in every way possible.
Certified through Penn Foster and armed with a plethora of additional certifications, I've dedicated myself to mastering the art and science of dog training. But perhaps what truly sets me apart is my lifelong immersion in the world of dogs. Since the age of 13, I've been fortunate to have several incredible mentors who've guided and inspired me along this path. Their wisdom and expertise shaped me into the trainer I am today. Their guidance taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and effective communication in fostering strong bonds between humans and their four-legged companions.
While I have expertise in various areas of dog training, my heart lies in two particular specialties: service dogs and puppy training. There's something truly magical about empowering pups to become invaluable life saving companions or setting the foundation for a lifetime of good behavior and mutual understanding. Whether you're seeking assistance with basic obedience, behavior modification, or preparing your pup for a vital role as a service dog, I'm here to support you every step of the way. Together, we'll embark on a journey of learning, growth, and unbreakable bonds that will enrich both your life and that of your beloved canine companion. The sky’s the limit, so let's unleash the full potential of your furry friend and create a harmonious partnership that lasts a lifetime!
Best regards and happy barks,
Skye

FAQS
WHICH OF YOUR SERVICES IS RIGHT FOR ME?
I generally recommend everyone starts off with a monthly plan while we become established. The ability to contact me any day of the week for help has really shown to be beneficial for dogs and owners alike.
WHY SHOULD I USE A PROFESSIONAL TRAINER? ISN'T YOUTUBE ENOUGH?
While the bond between a dog and their owner is irreplaceable, enlisting the help of a professional dog trainer offers a multitude of benefits that far outweigh the DIY approach. Professional trainers bring a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and experience to the table, honed through rigorous training and hands-on practice. They possess an in-depth understanding of canine behavior, allowing them to identify underlying issues and tailor training methods to suit each dog's unique temperament and needs. Moreover, professional trainers employ scientifically proven techniques that foster trust, confidence, and mutual respect between dog and owner. By investing in a professional trainer, owners can accelerate their dog's learning process, address behavioral challenges effectively, and lay a solid foundation for a harmonious lifelong relationship. Ultimately, the guidance and support provided by a professional trainer not only ensure faster and more reliable results but also enrich the bond between owner and dog, creating a happier, healthier partnership for years to come.
IS MY PET TOO OLD TO BE TRAINED?
NEVER! It is a myth that "old dogs cant learn new tricks". Any dog of any age can be trained. In saying that, I do not train dogs over the age of 3 for service work. The reason for this is that it takes 18-24 months to properly train a service dog. Majority of dog retire around 8. I try to ensure that any dog I train for service work can perform their jobs ethically for at least 3 years.
CAN YOU TRAIN MY ESA?
Yes, I do work with Emotional Support Animals. Professional training in Obedience and Manners can reduce tension between landlords and disabled ESA users as it ensures the dog will not be a nuisance. However, it is important to note that ESA's are not service animals as per the ADA and as such are not eligible for a service dog certificate of completion.
